Oops, heh
So I haven't told anyone at work that I'm an anime nut. Because you really can't run around in a suit with a fancy nametag and a pager and have people call you Dr. and then tell your new coworkers "Oh yeah, I LOVE cartoons made in Japan!!"
Then yesterday I was talking with the other fellow and he answered one of my questions and, completely without thinking, I said "so ka!" (simple Japanese for "Oh, I see/understand") And I immediately mentally headdesked because he's Japanese and he looked at me funny and said, "what did you say?" I had to wave it away, saying it was something my friend taught me, as opposed to something I picked up after watching 200+ anime shows.
Whew, my secret is safe for another day. ^_^

A/N: Something I wrote after realized that Betty and Amanda were alone when Wilhelmina took their best friends away. First part is only dialogue, and then the other alters between Betty and Amanda POV. References to Gossip Girl and The L Word, but not enough to confuse who doesn’t watch these shows.

Everything I Learned About Marine Biology I Learned From My Brother by kroki_refur, (SPN, Gen) - Hahahahahaaa... This is crack at it's finest and there are even pictures.
War Bride by Speranza, (SGA, John/Rodney) - This is such a simple concept but told with such heart and humor. Lovely.
Dimensions And Verticals bybellatemple, (SPN, Gen) - More multimedia crack and supremely awesome.
Silence Cast To Night Skies bytahirire, (SPN, Gen) - I think one of my favourite sub genres in this fandom is stories about John and Dean coping without Sam. This is hurty and good.
In A Foreign Tongue byeighth_horizon, (SPN, Gen) - Another little story-type I can't go past is the boys accidentally adopting baby monsters... ha!

Do you girls on my flist remember Lisa Frank? I was never a fanatic, but I did love the girliness & shiny things & girls with purple & blue & pink hair. I don't think there was a girl at my school who didn't have a lunchbox or backpack or notebook at one time or another.
